Hello, I am Ana

I work as a project manager, a parent, and an expat based in Lisbon, Portugal.

Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.

How It Started

Moving to Portugal wasn't in the plan for the long term. Like many expat moves, it began as a work opportunity and quickly grew into something much larger.

The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday chores felt more complex than they should.

The Adjustment Period

There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of practical learning. Gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.

Why I Built Liku Jubi Qejo

Most information online was either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.

This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Portugal.

What This Site Is (And Isn't)

This site IS:

  • Practical insights gained from living in Portugal
  • Centered on family life and everyday realities
  • Updated only when a meaningful change occurs

This site ISN'T:

  • Not a tourism authority resource
  • Not a paid endorsement platform
  • Not a generic travel blog

Looking Ahead

Our stay in Portugal continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I will continue recording what we discover.

If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Best regards,

Ana
